Paintability
After curing Easyseal-XPS is easily paintable with VOC2010 alkyd-resin and emulsion based paints without drying time. Unknown combinations of paint and sealant should be tested first. It is preferred to sand both surfaces and sealant with Scotch-Brite prior to painting. In general, sealants are more elastic than paints, so layers of dried paint can could crack slightly as a result of joint movement.
Processing
Easyseal-XPS adheres to most metals, plastics, clean glass and treated wood. Make sure window frames and glazing bars are coated according to prescription. Substrates should be free of moisture, dirt and dust. Degrease if necessary with BS-Cleaner and a clean cloth. After degreasing, do not touch the substrates. Rain or misty weather conditions are unsuitable for sealant application. Please consult our primer list or perform your own adhesion tests in case of any doubt.
Joint dimensions
The topsealing design should be 4×6 mm to 5×5 mm. Connection and expansion joints should follow national regulations.
Handling
Extrude with a standard caulking gun or air-gun. Finish joints using a sharp putty knife or rubber spatula. Tools and stains can be cleaned with Bloem Cleaner. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically. Hands can be cleaned with Bloem Power-scrub wipes.

Storage
Store dry and cool between +5 °C and +25 °C, in its original hermetically sealed packaging. Max. 9 months.
Safety Precautions
Avoid long contact with skin. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Avoid any contact with food as long as the sealant is not fully cured. Keep away from children. The product is not hazardous when applied properly and correctly. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) can be obtained upon request.
