Blockseal is a neutral RTV silicone sealant, suitable for a wide range of glazing applications, especially due to the compatibility with inner primary butyl sealants of IG units and PVB interlayers of laminated safety glass.

Processing advice
Check whether all substrates have been pre-treated in accordance to the instructions and are free of moisture, dirt and dust. Degrease substrates if necesssary with BS-Cleaner and a clean cloth, then do not touch again. Rain or foggy weather are not suitable for glazing with sealant.

Handling
Extrude with a standard caulking gun or air-gun. Finish joints with a solution of BS Joint finisher in water and use a sharp putty knife or rubber spatula for tooling. Fresh stains and tools are to be cleaned with Bloem MultiCleaner or PowerScrubs fiber reinforced cleaning wipes. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically. Hands can be cleaned best with Bloem PowerScrub wipes.

Limitations

  • Before complete vulcanisation, the sealant is not to be exposed to any mechanical, thermal or chemical infuence.
  • Not suitable for applications with permanent water load.
  • We recommend using Silicon FGS-25 for sanitary applications.
  • Due to possible staining not suitable for natural stone for which we recommend Quadroseal.
  • For mirror bonding we recommend MSP-Allround.
  • If the sealant should be painted we recommend Easyseal-XPS
  • * Tests showed that Blockseal is compatible with most insulating glass edge seals and PVB layers of laminated safety glass. However, due to a wide variety of edge sealing systems and compounds on the market, from which chemical formulations could be modified by the producer without any notice, this statement does not imply any liability.

Packing
Aluminum foils à 600 ml.; 12 foils per box.

Storage
Store dry and cool between +5°C and +25°C, in its original hermetically sealed packing during 12 months.

Safety Precautions
Avoid long contact with skin. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Avoid any contact with food as long as the sealant is not fully cured. Keep away from children. The product is not hazardous when applied properly and correctly. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) can be obtained upon request.
